How to make at home Chicken lollipops
Chicken lollipops are a popular and delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
10-12 chicken wings (whole)
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon red chili sauce
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 egg
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken Wings: Clean and wash the chicken wings thoroughly.
With a sharp knife, carefully separate the meat from the bone at the base of each wing, forming a "lollipop" shape. Push the meat down to one end of the bone.
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, mix ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper powder, red chili powder, and salt.
Add the chicken lollipops to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 1-2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Prepare the Batter:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, egg, and a pinch of salt. Add a little water if needed to make a smooth, thick batter.
Coat the Chicken:Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pan to 350-375°F (175-190°C).
Dip each marinated chicken lollipop into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated.
Carefully place the coated lollipops into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. This usually takes about 8-10 minutes.
Serve:
Once the chicken lollipops are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
